By far the easiest way to support wind in your area is to write a letter. It shouldn't take a long time or too much effort and could be all important in making it known that residents support wind power in their area.

The most important thing you can do is to write to a planning officer about a specific scheme. The planning officer is obliged to keep a count of all the letters they receive in favour (or in opposition to) a scheme. They will record this in their planning report, before making their recommendation.

Letters to your local paper or radio station will get your views on wind power out to a lot of people locally. They also help balance the debate when wind power is getting a bad press. Writing to the media is easy.
