Yet More Jobs Announced in Wind Sector

Workers at the new factory in Chepstow which Mabey Bridge build last year are delighted to have been offered extra work resulting from a massive new order for wind turbine towers.

The turbines will be deployed at the planned 42MW Pant-Y-Wal wind farm near Rhondda in South Wales and the 52.5MW Baillie wind farm near Thurso on the north coast of Scotland.

In addition to the extra working opportunities being offered to the current workforce, Mabey Bridge have also announced that they intend to take on an additional 45 new staff members.

Charles Hendry, Minister of State for Energy, hailed the landmark deal as further evidence of the UK's position as one of the world's leading wind energy markets.
