Pembrokeshire wind farm project gets go ahead
Posted 1st June 2010
Dutch wind energy developer Infinergy has been granted planning permission for a four-turbine wind farm in Pembrokeshire.
The Wear Point wind farm will have four 2.5MW turbines. Infinergy aims to have the wind farm operational by the end of 2012.
The proposed wind farm is named after nearby Wear Point beach, on the northern edge of the Milford Haven waterway in Pembrokeshire, just west of Hazelbeach.
The turbines will be installed on a brownfield or industrial site, owned by oil storage company SemLogistics.
