Familiarity Breeds Content: Objectors Change Tune

Hats off to those objectors in Leicestershire who have been honest and brave enough to say "we were wrong about turbine noise" now that the 4-turbine Low Spinney Wind Farm is up and running.

yes2wind is well aware just how fiercely some people opposed the planning application, and self-proclaimed "experts" managed to scare local residents into thinking that their lives would be blighted.

Earlier this week, the Leicester Mercury ran a story under the title: "We were wrong on turbine noise, admit protestors"

Former protestors are quoted as saying that their fears have proved to be incorrect; and they even talk about the turbines with an element of fondness, admitting that resistance to change played a significant part in their original protest.

yes2wind respects and thanks them for their honesty and is delighted that 'all's well that ends well'.

The turbines are clearly visible from the nearby M1 and look quite stunning, especially when the sun is shining on them.
